Manifesto

Your résumé grows with you. It shifts shape for every role, but the story is still yours.

Every résumé tool still leaves the work to you. You keep multiple copies for different roles. You shuffle bullets between them. You hope you sent the right one. Technology advanced. Fancy tools emerged. And yet the manual labor stayed.

That's why we founded Folio.

Your résumé should be alive, malleable, and shaped for every reader. One source, every shape. Tailor a version for any role. Publish a link that's always current. Start a new copy when the next move comes. The labor happens once; the variations follow.

Common questions, answered up front.

If yours isn't here, use the feedback button in the app to reach out.

How much does it cost?
Build, edit, export, and share as many résumés as you want, all completely free. We also offer optional writing helpers to make polishing your words easier. They cost us to run, so if you choose to use them, we pass that on at $19 per year for unlimited use across all your résumés.
Is my data mine?
Yes. It saves to your browser the moment you type, and syncs to your account so you can pick up where you left off on any device. We don't sell anything to anyone. Export it whenever, take it with you.
Will it pass ATS screeners?
Yes. The PDF is real, selectable text, not a picture of one. Headings and keywords sit where the screeners look. The robots can read it. So can the humans on the other side.
Can I share one link that stays current?
Yes. Each résumé has its own link. Whoever opens it sees the version that's true today, not the one you emailed last spring.
Does it work offline?
Yes. On your phone, add Folio to your home screen. It opens like any other app, your résumé lives on the device, and a dropped wifi signal doesn't drop your work with it.
Can I make different résumés for different jobs?
Yes, that's the whole idea. Build one master résumé, then tailor it for each role. Hide what doesn't fit, swap in what does, save the variant. Send the right shape for the right job.
Can I import an existing résumé?
Yes. Paste a LinkedIn URL or drop in a JSON Resume file, and we'll fill it in for you. You start with everything you already have, not a blank page.
Can I change how it looks?
Yes. Pick a template, change the fonts, choose colors, tweak margins. Everything you wrote stays exactly where it is. Just the look changes.
